I tried playing a QuickTime video encoded with Sorenson 3 on my Litepad, and was very disapointed with the results. The frame rate was really slow.
I thought I might have to upgrade the memory to 512MB. Then somebody on the Macromedia Director list suggested I try it using a different screen color depth.
I changed the color depth from 16 bit to 32 bit, and the problem went away.
I'm not sure why NEC is shipping these with the screen set to 16 bit when the video hardware is clearly optimized for 32. Maybe it's a Windows XP thing.
