I am using a ViewSonic V1250 Tablet PC. This box runs just well, but the problem comes when I upgrade a larger hard disk: without any external bootable CD-ROM drive shipped together, I'd no idea about how to run the restore CD. Finally I had to install HDD on another laptop first for restore task and then install it back to V1250.
But is there any better/wiser or "standard" way?
Is there any tips or guideline to use PXE or something to help out that? Or has anyone has a better idea?

If your in the... ahem financial situation I am... a quick run to Best Buy should get you an external CD drive ~$200, another run the next day, a comment about how it didn't work as bootable for your notebook and you should have your $200 back 
Beware though there's no garuntee they will accept the return.

| i did the same thing with the same computer, and bought an external from compusa, and they gave me a full refund, no questions asked. |
