This is probably a newbie problem, but I have not been able to solve it. I just received a four year old Gatway M280 convertible tablet running Windows XP Tablet, and cannot get the screen orientation to change for use as a tablet. Whenever I press the button or use the pen and tablet panel I am told that what I am trying to do cannot be supported, and I need to adjust the settings in the 'display' screen in the control panel. I have also been told I need to increase the resolution.
I have adjusted the resolution in as many ways as I can figure out to do with no succes, and unlike my desktop there are only two settings available [800x600 and 1024 x 768]. I have also tried custom settings with no success.
I bought this to be able to edit a manuscript when travelling, and not being able to use it easily is a problem. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Bill R
Thanks for the suggestion. I have reinstalled all of the drivers from the disk supplied with the laptop, but this has not made any difference. I have restarted the computer several times [though perhaps not every time I made a change]. The man I bought the unit from used it and said it works, and that he put it back to factory specks when he sent it to me. There is a driver and application disk, plus some other applications, though the driver disk is the only one that seems it should be addressing this issue. No indication of any progress here thus far.
