Does anyone have specific launch dates and "end of life" for tablets?
In particular I'm looking for the past 4 or 5 from the Fujitsu T4XXX series, the Lenovo Thinkpad series (the newest will be the X60 out later this month), and the HP tc series (the tc4400 is the latest).
The companies are saying these have "lives" of 12-14 months, but I'm seeing much shorter times between new releases.
Well just like all technology it is replaced very quickly (some say it doubles every 8 months). But that doesn't mean you need to replace.
They do come out with new stuff fairly fast, it seems like it's faster than laptops- probably because the tablet technology is still very much in development- manufacturers are trying to establish what is wanted etc. But your tablet should last literally as long as you want it to and it can keep up. _________________ James Volodymyr R.

For the general public, the OEMs do not tell them the roadmap of future products. The roadmaps are NDA and they provide a general idea of when new products will replace older ones however sometimes they sell the older products longer than anticipated.
