I am having the same issue. I have yet to find any documentation on this. I have a several wireless devices on my WLAN and this is the only one that I have had trouble with. I can see my WAP as well as other WAPs in my building but just won't connect. I don't get any errors. I'm going to assume that this is a "feature" that has been added to XP Tablet Edition or a Compaq utility. Does anyone have any information or know how to resolve this?

Hi,
Did you setup your home Access Point as a preferred network? If you did not and there's more than one access point in the area, your Tablet PC can connect to the wrong AP and not work.

Also, the Compaq Wi-Fi adapter has to be enabled in the driver. Did you check this under the settings?

I too have had the issue. My problem was isolated to the fact that the drivers for the onboard wireless device are not compatable with my Wireless authentication. Fujitsu offered LEAP Drivers but stated that they were not secure (Whats the point).

I resolved the issue by cutting off the On-board Wireless NIC and installed a CISCO PCMCIA NIC. Everything works lovely now.

Good luck in finding your resolutions.

hi. Solved my issue with help from a person from news group.

I didn't enter MAC address of my Compaq into the setting of access point and it was blocking out the connection. Now it works fine.

Hope this helps.
