Hello all,

I had a "saved shopping cart" on the Fujitsu web site for a ST5011. When I look at it now, it reads "OUT OF STOCK", implying that it will not be available for shipping. Trying to start over, Fujitsu has pulled the ST5011 from it's web site, and none of the tablets they are now offering have outdoor screens.

Does anybody know what's going on? Are they abandoning the technology, and if so, is it for marketing reasons or technical ones?

Thanks,
Jim Oliver

I dont know Fujistu but my guess would be its off the assembly line if its not available anymore. One thing I noticed just taking a quick peak is that $2500 (plus the $300 or whatever for the screen) seems excessive for its target. I would imagine your greatest target for view anywhere is the construction industry which with my experience in I can tell you MOST companies are not going to distribute such nice hardware to field people (who the view anywhere targets the most I beleive).

I would expect to see a new implimentation of this technology soon though since it is definately one that gets a lot of attention, whether people need it or not they want it.

I am happy to report that Fujitsu is not abandoning transfelctive screens, as they now have the ST5021 model. The delay in releasing it gave me time to consider the Motion 1400.
