Hi,
I am a business management student and commute an hour from school to home. I need something to write papers, keep pdf. files, and documents on. I was thinking of just getting a iPAQ and a portable keyboard but I think the screen would be too small. I don't plan on using it for taking class notes because I think it would cause problems in the classroom environment. Not problems but maybe distractions or would put a lot of attention on me...I am not a big attention fan. I do want to be able to read just about any type of media though and I want something on the smaller side. I think for my needs a 12 in. screen is overkill. So, of the 10 in. screen models which do you think is the best bang for the buck? I am leaning toward the Compaq but the keyboard seems cheaply attached to the tablet. I guess it is like anything else and I am just going to have to try a couple and see but for the most part they all seem the same it just seems to be personal taste. Any information would be great.

The Compaq is hard to beat. for a student, especially a full-time student, the extended battery life offered by the Compaq unit is too good to pass up. I've got one and I love it! In fact I can't imagine my life without it.

Don't worry about the keyboard. The unit is very solid, even when attached to the keyboard. I don't use the keyboard much though. for example, I'm inking this from bed. Cool

BIG LAR,

I am really interested in the Compaq, but I am hesitent over the new technology. Do you have some kind of add-on floppy drive or CD burner?

Do you think this is the future of laptops?

Confused!

Hi,
You can use a USB floppy and a USB CDRW with the Tablet PC. Any peripheral for XP should work fine.
