Trying to decide my next purchase... I heard only good things about Fujitsu, but now HP came up with a good rival. (I currently have toshiba old brick and would like to try some other brand this time).
1. First I would like to understand the difference between T4010D and T4010??
It seems that T4010 was the first model introduced by Fujitsu with the Intel integrated WiFi solutions (Centrino) and the new T4010D has a variation, with Intel M and a separate WiFi chip by Atheros (supposely faster WiFi). Why would I want a faster WiFi than the standard g?? I don't think there are many WiFi routers out there to notice any benefit. If they were, internet broadband will take even a longer time to catch up. Is there any other benefit with Atheros? Any comments about Atheros vs. Centrino Battery Performance?
2. How does the new tc4200 compare to the old Fujitsu? Any comments? It seems a lot faster and better battery life. Please help!

I can only tell you that I have been very happy with my 1 week old, first ever tablet pc which happens to be a T4010D. The Atheros card has worked flawlessly. Setup was practically automatic with XP, only had to add security settings to my router. It is humming along at 108Mbps.
The only complaint that I have is the speaker sound quality. When using headphones, sound quality is great (I'm not an audiophile) and since my uses will mostly necessitate headphones its not a problem. If you were to use the tablet for a powerpoint presentation on a conference table it might be problematic. Good luck with whatever tablet you purchase. _________________ A tablet is just what the doctor ordered
