I would like to use a tablet in an outdoor estimating environment. The retail store guys can't tell me if there is a temperature range limit for any of the products. Will I find that the Tablet will not work when I am out in 25 degree weather?
I beleive the PDF specification sheets should give operating temperatures, these are on the product websites usually.
If you are worried you may want to look into a rugged tablet. It sounds like you wont be doing a ton of extensive work on the tablet. The biggest issue is cost, with rugged tablets you wont get nearly the power you would out of a non-rugged machine. However, in any get-up-and-go scenario (construction, or even traveling doing estimates) I think it would be nice to be able to "toss it around" and basically not worry about what happens to it.
Try calling the manufactuer's as well, I wouldn't trust what 99% of the retailers told me anyway, but IIRC the PDFs DO have that information.
Happy hunting, and keep us informed. _________________ James Volodymyr R.
