Patient Edu, a patient education company, uses Tablet PCs to deliver patient education to patients in hospitals, practices and and in the home.

This is video content prescribed by clinicians using a custom piece of software and available using an exe on a Tablet PC such as the Motion Computing LE1600 or by using a web browser over a hospital's or practice's intranet.

We used to use the HP TC1100, but HP discontinued that model and went with the stalk based model many of the manufacturers have settled on. The Motion unit allows the keyboard to be separated from the CPU and screen which makes for a much lighter unit. The tablet is connected to a SQL server database over a hospital's intranet. Motion also makes a touch screen version of the tablet which can be easily mounted on an Ergotron Rolling stand for easy management.
