First, the battery basically dies immediately, going to 50% within 6 months. This causes the unit to die suddenly because it thinks it has a charge, but it doesn't. So it dies before it can hibernate. After a year it will not hold even a minute of charge. Electrovaya has been out-of-stock for months now. When I call, they say they are coming in shortly, and that they have a better battery coming. I purchased because of the promise of true wireless, but nothing they say is true, kids screaming in the background. Anybody else have the same problems? |

I'm having the same problem, the battery will not hold a charge, tablet just shuts off unexpectedly. I can not get a reply from Electrovaya regarding a battery replacement. It looks like they are getting out of the Tablet PC business, all of their on-line inventory is depleted. _________________ Electrovaya Scribbler 3100 |

I've documented this as far back as April, and the first time I saw it was actually November of last year. You can find the whole story in the letter I've written to Electrovaya about this problem.
Bottom line: I've demonstrated the sudden shut-off to their technical team last August, and they've done nothing about it.

I have had three battery replacements. Each time the rep has been very responsive to my needs. But the problem remains. 2 questions: 1) Is electrovaya getting out of the tablet business? 2) it not will they solve their battery problem? they are after all, a battery company.
any news out there?
