Is it the pen or the tablet?

I have a Gateway CX2724 and it was working fine for the past 6 months... then my pen started to act crazy, cursor jumping all over. They sent me a replacement pen. It lasted 1 day.. the pen died, the tablet wasn't even recognizing that there was a pen.. when touching the screen with the pen nothing happened. So tech support sent me a replacement pen... which also died!

Are the pens that sensitive and fragile? Or coudl something be wrong with my system? Tech support doesn't know what to do so they keep sending me replacement pens.

Any thoughts?

Hi,
Normally the pens are not that sensitive. However this unit uses the finepoint digitizers. I would contact Gateway about the issue again.

Also, there is a battery in the pen. Did you insert it in the Gateway and leave it charging with the Tablet PC?

I didn't realize there was a way to recharge the battery... but I do always leave the pen inside the tablet. Their tech support told me to try another pen (they are shipping it) and if this time it doesn't work then I'll have to send them the laptop for inspection...

Hopefully this last pen works!
