I was deleting some unused programs and ran across a Texas Instruments program that I thought was for my son's Scientific Calc.
Now when I reboot I get a found new hardware message: "Mass Storage Controller", but I think it may be the PCMCIA controller, because that shows up not working in the device manager.
No, I don't have a restore point , and it won't reinstall automatically. What do I do? |

Would someone please just look in their device manager and tell me what driver is being used?
Thanks! |

OK, I was able to reinstall a driver for the PCMCIA, but I still need to fix whatever the "Mass Storage Controller" is.
Would someone please look in "Add or Remove Programs" and tell me what it says for the "Texas Instruments" program?
Thanks |

Sorry for the obnoxious self replies!
I went to the Acer site and updated the Card Reader driver, and that fixed it. Good news is that it now recognizes my High Speed SD cards! So, it's a good idea to update it, and now this was a happy accident!
The Intel PCMCIA driver still isn't working, but the Texas Instruments one is. I guess that's all I need? I've never used the PCMCIA anyway... |
