Hello,
I have a problem with the pen of my Gateway CX2620 Tablet PC. I felled it a few times. It continued to work for a long time after it had fallen. But after some time it began to work unproperly, it had a writing problem. I wasn’t able to write fluently as before. Later on, the pen began not to click. As I move the pen upon the monitor, the cursor moves but does not click. I changed the pen settings, it didn’t work. Computer programers to whom I consulted said that I was to reinstall the system. I formatted the computer and reinstalled the system by using the recovery cd. The result did not change. I have begun to think the probability that the pen is out of order.
I live in Turkey and there is not any Gateway service here. Have you encountered with such problem before? Is the problem stems from the pen?

There is DEFINITELY A PEN IN THE CX2620 stylii. I just replaced mine with a AAAA battery. The old one (which is a AAAA size, you can find these inside 9-volt batteries) had acid buildup on its positive end and that is why the pen went inactive. There is a lot of debate over this pen problem and I guarantee 90% of the time it's related to the battery. I can do a clean replace on anybody's CX2620 pen/stylii with a fresh battery for $10. If interested email me at kevinteman@hotmail.com . You pay for shipping, your total about $17 or so. I have never done this before but I just replaced mine flawlessly so I can do others. I know there are a lot of dead stylii out there and people don't know what to do, took me a while to figure it out.
