HI, I have an XPlore Technologies tablet PC, version iX104C3 Dual Mode. I did not buy this brand new. A couple months ago the tablet seemed to get hotter to the touch. I was using the device for internet surfing, editing photos, and general use. I then noticed that the power cord and power pack that plugs into the wall was very very hot and then it smelled, so I junked the cord and bought a new one, not directly from XPlore Technologies but from an accessories and supplies provider online and specifically for my tablet PC. I hadn't used the computer for several months becuase I wanted to get the correct power supply first. But still the tablet and the power supply get hot - real hot - and I have no idea what it could be. I loaded a few programs in the computer, like for my camera and printer etc., but have not added more than a general computer user would. I would like to use it for several hours at a time but find it gets so hot within 30 minutes that I shut it down so nothing happens to it. I know this PC has a heat warning that will pop up and it hasn't, but is this normal for it to get as hot as it does. It's almost too hot to touch sometimes!! Thanks for any input!!! |

Hey, How do I slow the CPU (is that a dumb question?. Additionally, I also hook the tablet up to a small monitor when I'm at home because it's a little larger screen, and I have a wireless keyboard and mouse I use then. I am looking for the setting where once I hook up the eternal monitor then the tablet will go dark. It used to do that but since I haven't used it in a while I don't know if it defaulted back to something. Going to look more into that later today when I get home. Thank you for answers and input!! |
